GateGuard was engineered from the ground up with a singular, uncompromising privacy principle: we do not collect your data. The school institution is the sole custodian of all student records, which reside exclusively on the school premises with zero cloud synchronization.

Zero Data Collection

GateGuard as a vendor never collects, harvests, stores, profiles, or sells any student, parent, or staff personal data.

School Is Sole Custodian

The school retains 100% legal ownership, administrative authority, and operational custodianship of all generated records.

100% On-Premises

All database files, tap timestamps, and RFID logs reside strictly on local physical hardware located inside the school premises.

No Cloud Sync

Data is never transmitted to, replicated in, or synchronized with any cloud server, third-party database, or remote cloud storage.

GateGuard Does Not Collect Data

GateGuard Solution operates strictly as a hardware and on-premises software tool provider, never as a data aggregator, broker, or cloud host. We do not inspect, ingest, harvest, or store any of the following:

No Student Identifiers: Names, student ID numbers, grades, dates of birth, photos, or biometric profiles are never transferred to GateGuard servers.
No Parent or Guardian Contacts: Phone numbers, WhatsApp IDs, email addresses, and residential information remain exclusively within the school's local database.
No Attendance Records: Tap timestamps, arrival times, departures, absences, and gate logs are generated and maintained solely on-site.
No Behavior or Usage Tracking: GateGuard contains no behavioral tracking, advertising beacons, or third-party telemetry scripts.

The School Is the Sole Custodian of All Data

Under our contractual, legal, and technical framework, the educational institution is the exclusive owner and sole legal custodian of all student and campus information.

Principles of School Custodianship:

• Full Ownership: The school holds 100% intellectual and legal rights over every record entered or recorded by the RFID terminals.

• Exclusive Access: Only designated, credentialed school administrators have access to view, update, export, or audit records.

• Zero Secondary Use: Neither GateGuard nor any third party has authorization or capability to license, monetize, train machine learning models on, or analyze school records.

Data Resides Exclusively on School Premises

All data captured by the GateGuard RFID readers, cameras, and scanners is written directly to physical on-site storage located inside the school boundary.

Local Gateway Appliance

Attendance logs are saved locally on the school's dedicated GateGuard hardware controller installed in the campus security room or IT rack.

Local Network Security

Terminal communication occurs over the school's isolated Local Area Network (LAN) or secure direct serial bus, inaccessible to public web scanners.

Data Is Not Synced to Any Cloud

Unlike legacy SaaS platforms that silently upload student databases to public multi-tenant clouds, GateGuard has no cloud synchronization layer:

No Cloud Databases:

There is no central cloud database or remote bucket storing school student logs.

No Cross-School Aggregation:

Each school's system is an air-gapped or independently fenced instance. No student data from School A is ever combined with School B.

Immunity to Third-Party Cloud Breaches:

Because student records do not live in the cloud, they cannot be compromised through third-party cloud outages or vendor cloud breaches.

Direct Point-to-Point Notification Architecture

When a student taps their RFID smart card at the gate, the notification is dispatched via direct point-to-point transmission from the local on-premises gateway.

How Instant Alerts Are Sent Without Cloud Storage:

Terminal Tap: Student taps card at Gate Reader on school grounds.
Local Verification: The on-site gateway matches card ID with parent contact inside the local server.
Direct Cellular / Gateway Transmission: The gateway issues an instant SMS or secure messaging payload directly to telecom networks for delivery to the parent's phone.
Zero Remote Footprint: The transmission payload terminates on delivery. No copy is persisted on any GateGuard remote infrastructure.
